Follow Your Dreams

This little venture I am on, is quite therapeutic.  I read a quote today, I'm not sure who wrote it, but it struck a chord with me.

"To be beautiful means to be yourself.  You don't need to be accepted by others.  You need to accept yourself."

I am working hard on accepting myself.  People that truly know me, know I have extremely low self-esteem and self-confidence. 

Benji's Special Christmas Gift was originally published in 2009 and I was very uncomfortable going to book signings and asking for friends and family to purchase it.  I will say, my family and friends believed in me and my book.  I didn't believe in me. My insecurities got the best of me.  This time, although those insecurities are still there, I am giving it my all.

Even if I don't sell a single book, that's okay.  I have more to put out there and maybe, eventually, those books will sell.

I will continue on my journey, and I hope you will continue on yours.  So, be beautiful, accept yourself and follow your dreams!
